Redline is a reporting and monitoring solution for Novell GroupWise­ that provides, GroupWise at a Glance™, a dashboard for quick access to the most critical areas of GroupWise­, a real-time monitoring solution that notifies you via email or pager and a System viewer that allows you to see all of the details of your GroupWise components in a single view.  Redline produces reports for compliance, system analysis, capacity planning and security auditing.

Redline employs a two-tiered architecture which consists of an agent that gathers information from each GroupWise server and a web-based control center that provides a dashboard, reporting, alerting and configuration for Redline.  The agent natively supports GroupWise on NetWare, Linux and Windows.  The control center, as a web-based application, supports IE, Netscape and Firefox browsers, and can be installed on Linux or NetWare.

Through the control center interface you can access the predefined HTML reports for Redline. The reports are organized by solution area to include system operations, disk space management, compliance reporting and ROI analysis.  Additional reports can be easily created or modified from the Redline report generator engine that is built into the interface.

Redline provides nearly 6000 pieces of information that it can monitor and report upon.  All of these values are categorized as predefined thresholds (status values) and recommendations (settings) based upon GroupWise best practices.  All of these values can be configured to meet your needs.  Delve into areas of GroupWise such as system availability, message traffic, message delivery, and security compliance.  The alerts can be viewed via our web based Control Center or sent to email, pagers, or via SNMP traps to 3rd party Monitoring architectures.

With the integration of Blackberry Enterprise Server, Notify Technology NotifyLink, Toffa SyncWise 2005, and GMS/GMS2, we have begun to extend the reach of Redline to your mobility solutions.  Redline is a management application for your messaging system that includes technology from Novell, security and management technologies from GWAVA, and various mobility solutions.   The Redline team is constantly looking to add new technologies to our suite of integrations.

Our easy to use GroupWise at a Glance dashboard provides a quick way to evaluate the overall health of your GroupWise systems.  With alert indicators that tie into the monitoring infrastructure, performance indicators that show key information about GroupWise and graphs and RPM gauges that show message traffic and connected users, you will see everything you need in one screen.  While everything is preconfigured out of the box, advanced users can customize the dashboard to meet their unique needs.

The Redline system viewer is the most powerful component within the Redline interface.  It provides a single point of administration to all monitored components whether it be GroupWise, GWAVA or 3rd party related.  The system view allows you to drill down into each component of your messaging system, providing quick and easy access to the information you need to diagnose problems, check the operations of your systems or evaluate system health.

GroupWise administrators need the ability to track the delivery and performance of email through their systems.  Until now, many organizations had to guess at how long it took messages to be delivered or wait until users complained to know if mail was being delivered to or from the Internet on time.  With the message tracking feature of Redline, customers can now trend message traffic both internally and externally through the system. In many cases slow message delivery is just a precursor to bigger problems. Redline helps identify these issues.

Every Redline user can create complex reports with graphs, tables and charts.  Redline makes this easy without any knowledge of underlying technologies like XML, SQL queries or HTML.  Use the new Report Designer and all you need is a mouse and an idea and you can create the reports you need with minimal effort.

The Redline dashboard provides both quick and full health indicators that show on one page, in an easy to understand display, whether or not all of your monitored components are successfully connected to the Redline control center.  Every Redline administrator can have access to these easy to understand screens.  By deploying these quick and full health dashboard displays to your various administrators, you can easily cut down on confusion and ensure your systems are running at maximum performance.
