Migrate to GroupWise 8 Event Series
GWAVA is well into the first leg of our “Migrate to GroupWise 8 Event Series.” The focus of the tour is to explain how to take advantage of open source and less proprietary software to manage email systems. Richard Bliss is explaining in his presentation how Linux and GroupWise 8 are the best options for an email platform in today’s economy. His message discusses how IT personnel are being asked to do more with less. This means less hardware, smaller staff, and less money. But the roles and responsibilities of IT are increasing, placing greater demands on these fewer resources. No longer can a CIO or IT manager afford to make a personal preference decision on which technology solution to use within their organization. Fiscal irresponsibility, when a buying decision is made for personal or political reasons, is no longer easily tolerated. He explains how by using Linux with GroupWise 8 (and of course lots of GWAVA products), organizations can enjoy the same level of functionality, better security and at a much cheaper price.
GWAVA has already enjoyed successful events in Seattle, Orlando, Chicago, Indianapolis, Madison, WI, Kansas City and San Jose. Novell has also been participating in the events, explaining their marketing focus for Teaming and GroupWise.
Upcoming cities for the event series are:
June 18 – Los Angeles, CA
June 23 – New York, NY
June 24 – Washington, DC
June 25 – Austin, TX
