Retain System Requirements

GWAVA understands that Linux, Windows and NetWare may all exist in your complicated computing environment, so we leave that choice to you. Like GroupWise, Retain uses a hybrid database/flat file storage system. Hybrid systems take advantage of the individual strengths of SQL databases and indexed file systems to provide the highest level of performance. You can choose from MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL. If you need to integrate with other 3rd party systems, Retain can output XML and PDF data as well. Retain also supports Centera, NetApp Snaplock and Hitachi HDS for WORM functionality and long term storage. Integration with document management systems such as Open Text allows message data to leverage enterprise document repositories – eliminating information silos. 

Retain 1.8 is fully compatible with GroupWise 8, supporting all new functionality such as stubbing.
