Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server resides on a Windows-based desktop and requires a back-end service which is installed on the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server.

• BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 or later
  
  
• Service Pack 3 for Novell GroupWise or Service Pack 4
  Microsoft Exchange and/or IBM Lotus Domino is highly recommended
  
  
• Firmware on BlackBerry SmartPhone version 4.1 or later
  
  
• MS SQL Server 2000 or 2005
  
  
• Compatible with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise
  
  
• Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server supports multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Servers in a single, consolidated and searchable SQL data repository

• An email archiving solution which supports SMTP*
