Until Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, only email messages that passed through your BlackBerry® SmartPhones and your BlackBerry Enterprise Server could be archived by an email archiving program. This occurs at your mail server (i.e. Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino or Novell GroupWise server). Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server empowers organizations to archive and audit all SMS messages, PIN messages and phone call useage data for long-term electronic data retention.

Retain now allows you to integrate all PIN/SMS data and Phone usage data with your email archiving solution.

Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server allows administrators to specify which accounts a user is allowed to audit. Access to sensitive accounts can be limited to key personnel with security clearance. All activities are logged in the audit trail of Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Search criteria may be based upon key words, dates, date ranges, and predefined regular expressions such as Social Security Numbers, etc. for SMS, PIN messages and phone call logs.  Data results from these messages are retrieved from the Retain for BlackBerry Enterprise Server SQL archive and can be exported to MS-Excel, Adobe pdf and MS-XPS formats.
