Profile Configuration Wizard.

Creating GWAVA Reload profiles is a simple wizard-driven process. Answer a few questions, and a Reload profile is created and ready to begin performing backups.

One Feature To Enable In ConsoleOne.

The only change needed to the GroupWise system is to enable the SmartPurge feature in ConsoleOne for post offices being backed up with GroupWise. Simply uncheck the applicable box.

Efficient Server Use.

Each Reload server can be configured to back up as many as 20 post offices and 20 domains (Reload profiles). Disk space and time to create a backup are the usual limitation as to how many profiles can be created.

Administrative Interface Accessibility:

The Reload Console Administration utility can be accessed through a variety of methods, including a web interface. Reload also has a special mobile interface which lets you administer Reload from your mobile phone or PDA.

Flexible Disk Configuration.

The GWAVA Reload server can easily be configured to back up data either to a local disk, a SAN, or NFS mount to a Linux or Unix server. Some Linux-based NAS devices can also be used. Different GWAVA Reload profiles can be configured to keep data in different locations.

For example, you could set one profile to keep data on SAN1; another profile on SAN2; another on the local hard drive of the Linux server; and a final profile to keep data on a Linux/Unix mainframe that the Reload server is mounted to with an NFS mount.

Backup Customization.

All Reload backup types support custom command execution when a job begins and ends.

Job Prioritization.

Reload has four different job types used to maintain data on the Reload server. The standard backup job is the only backup job that backs up data from the live post offices or domains. Reload gives preference to standard backup jobs over any other types of jobs that are queued up to run. This feature is enabled by default and can be disabled under Job Handling Preferences.

In the case of a disaster, the need to have a recent standard backup job is of the utmost importance. The job prioritization feature of Reload ensures that standard backups are now given the highest priority.

Job Recovery

Reload can discover if a job that has failed and needs to be restarted. Improved job recovery means that if a job is failing, it will either restart or stop completely so that other jobs can be processed.

Logging.

The Reload server creates logs specific to each profile as well as system-wide logs. Logs are easily accessible through the Reload Web Administration interface and the Reload Terminal Administration interface.

Documentation.

The Reload server hosts all of the Reload documentation. Reload has both in-line and video documentation which helps you learn how to configure and optimize your Reload system.
