Archive Product Now Supports Amazon Cloud Storage

Montreal, Quebec, Canada – November 24, 2010 — GWAVA is pleased to announce the release of Retain™ 2, its archiving solution for Novell GroupWise®. Retain 2 offers a number of top priority customer-requested features and supports the latest additions to GroupWise.

“We are excited to offer support for archiving storage using the Amazon S3 storage cloud computing service with our latest version of Retain,” states Taylor Cochrane, Product Manager for GWAVA. “Our customers are always looking towards the newest options in data storage and we are glad to provide a wide range of options.”

Retain 2 also offers a new feature called “litigation hold,” which marks litigation-critical emails to avoid accidental deletion.

The new rich client in Retain 2 lets users export and publish entire mailboxes, multiple mailboxes or post offices. With the new all-inclusive viewer, the entire exported data set can be searched and reviewed all in one self-contained package. Retain 2 can also export smaller amounts of email into PDFs for easy portability.

New indexing features are also part of Retain 2, including support for the Exalead indexing engine and increased indexing support for the built-in Lucene engine.

GWAVA Retain is a collaboration archiving solution with modules for Novell GroupWise, Microsoft Exchange®, RIM BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, and Microsoft Office Communication Server®.
