GWAVA 4.5 Released

GWAVA is excited to release version 4.5 of its flagship GWAVA anti-virus, anti-spam product. This release introduces GWAVA’s new cutting edge SMTP scanner. The scanner is distributed as an ISO with the GWAVA product so you can create your own spam scanning appliance using your own hardware. The scanner is extremely effective in stopping the majority of spam from ever entering your GroupWise system. For example, one GWAVA customer has cut down the number of post offices from three to one because their GWAVA SMTP appliance has so drastically cut down on the amount of spam entering their GroupWise system.

It has recently been reported that the percentage of spam in email is reaching as high as 90%. The sheer amount of spam has created burdens on IT managers and email recipients and has cost users countless hours of sifting through emails. Using the new SMTP feature in GWAVA will reduce the storage space required by the post office, speed up the email system and substantially cut down on the amount of spam that email users receive.

Couple the new SMTP scanner with GWAVA’s other great features, such as the ability to scan the encrypted message store as well as its advanced signature engine, up-to-date spam definitions, intelligent adaptive probability engine, IP reputation analysis, fingerprint analysis and RBL and SURBL support and GWAVA is the most complete anti-spam and anti-virus solution for GroupWise.

If you’re already using GWAVA, now is the time to upgrade. If you are using a different solution to protect your GroupWise emails from spam and viruses, you should check out GWAVA as a more economical and complete solution. Contact your GWAVA solutions provider for complete information.
