Exporting and Publishing
With Retain 1.8, you can now easily select the contents of your archives or search results for exporting. Retain now publishes those items inside a highly portable PDF file readable from Adobe Acrobat 9. The PDF file is fully indexed and searchable. An included table of contents makes browsing the documents quick and easy. All attachments are embedded to allow for easy saving and opening.

Mail Restore
Retain users can now restore emails back into their mailboxes. This functionality requires GroupWise 8.1 and the Retain Stubbing Server. When an item is selected for restoration, Retain will create a stub of the email inside the GroupWise mailbox. This method has dual benefits. First, the email contents are accessible from within the GroupWise client. Second, the storage costs remain inside the Retain archive and not inside the GroupWise post office.
Improved Migration Support
If you’re planning on using the migration feature of Retain, you’ll be pleased to see many enhancements to its migration utility, including a much easier-to-use interface.
Single Sign On
Another eagerly awaited feature, single sign-on, lets users easily and quickly move into their Retain archive from within the GroupWise client and WebAccess. Requires GroupWise 8.1.
Archive Quick Viewer
Retain users can now get a quick preview of an archived item before opening it up in a new browser window or tab, speeding up their archive experience.
